Polytechnic governing council chair dies, unions react

The chairman of the governing council of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, in Oyo State, Professor Abiodun Adebowale Ojo, is useless.

DAILY POST gathered that the Ojo handed away on Tuesday.

He was a Professor of Instructional Analysis and served because the pioneer Dean of the College of Specialised and Skilled Training at Emmanuel Alayande College of Training, Oyo, on sabbatical.

The deceased is the elder brother of one of many commissioners within the state, Mr Ademola Ojo.

The three unions within the establishment; Tutorial Workers Union of Polytechnic (ASUP), Senior Workers Affiliation of Nigerian Polytechnic (SSANIP) and the Non-Tutorial Workers Union (NASU), described the loss of life of the deceased as painful.

The unions, within the assertion signed by the trio of Engineer Adeboje Taiwo Bode (ASUP Chairman) Mr Titiloye, Joseph (SSANIP Chairman) and Mr Jayeola, Titus (NASU Chairman) described the deceased as a bridge builder and a peacemaker.

The trio within the assertion made out there to DAILY POST on Thursday mentioned, “It took us some time to return to phrases with the fact of your sudden demise, therefore, that is coming now. “Your loss of life is agonisingly painful. It’s fairly unlucky, now we have to make use of previous tense to qualify you.

“You have been a bridge builder and a peacemaker. Your unwavering dedication and visionary management within the establishment is exemplary.

“Your passing to be with the triumphant saints leaves a void that will probably be felt by the unions who had the privilege of working immediately with you. We are going to all the time keep in mind your good deeds in fostering concord within the Polytechnic group. God shall give us and the household the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
