American International School writes EFCC, to refund $760,000 paid for Yahaya Bello children’s fees

The American Worldwide College of Abuja, AISA, has requested the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee, EFCC, to supply “genuine banking particulars” for the refund of charges paid for the youngsters of the immediate-past governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello.

Bello allegedly paid $720,000 prematurely as charges for 5 of his kids from the coffers of the Kogi State Authorities.

The youngsters are in grade ranges 2 to eight on the college.

The EFCC operatives on April 17 laid siege to Bello’s residence in Abuja in an try to arrest him over an alleged N80.2 billion fraud.

The college mentioned it could draw the eye of the anti-graft company if there have been any additional deposits by the Bello household.

In an announcement signed by Greg Hughes, AISA additionally mentioned “Ali Bello contacted the varsity on Friday 13 August 2021 requesting to pay the household college charges prematurely till the scholars graduate from Excessive College”.

The EFCC has since declared Bello wished, with the Nigeria Immigration Service inserting the ex-governor on a watchlist.
