Strike: Academic, administrative activities ongoing – UniAbuja

The Administration of the College of Abuja, UniAbuja, says tutorial and administrative actions on campus will go on regardless of the strike by the Tutorial Workers Union of Universities, ASUU.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah, said this at a gathering with Provost, Deans, Administrators and Heads of educational departments.

That is contained in an announcement by the Appearing Director, Info and College Relations, Dr Habib Yakoob on Friday in Abuja.

The Vice Chancellor described the strike as divisive and pointless, vowing that the administration would by no means enable the college to be crippled once more.

“So far as the administration of the college is anxious, this establishment will not be on strike.

“Some individuals mentioned they’ve declared a strike however all of us with the administration have determined that our regular actions within the college should go on.

“Our examination is happening, senate conferences will proceed, every part we do as a college will proceed, our calendar is not going to be disrupted any longer by the grace of God.

“It’s unsuitable to cripple the college over points which can be merely sentimental and a few of which we have now dialogued over and resolved, we’re ready to not enable this disruption once more,” he mentioned.

He dismissed all of the reported allegations of the union which they claimed knowledgeable its declaration of indefinite strike.
