No plans to establish foreign military bases in Nigeria – FG

The Federal Authorities has described as false, allegations that overseas army primarily based are to be established in Nigeria.

In an announcement signed by the Minister of Info and Nationwide Orientation, Mohammed Idris, the federal government urged most of the people to completely disregard the falsehood.

“The Federal Authorities just isn’t in any such dialogue with any overseas nation,” the minister mentioned.

Idris went on to elucidate that the federal government has not acquired any proposals from any nation “on the institution of any overseas army bases in Nigeria”.

He mentioned the Nigerian authorities already enjoys overseas cooperation in tackling ongoing safety challenges, including that President Bola Tinubu stays dedicated to deepening these partnerships, with the purpose of attaining the nationwide safety targets of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
