Nigerian military kills 2,351 terrorists in Q1 – DHQ

The Defence Headquarters has stated that troops neutralized at the least 2,352 terrorists, arrested 2,308 and rescued 1,241 kidnapped hostages in several operations nationwide between January and March.

The Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj-Gen. Edward Buba, made this disclosure on Thursday in Abuja, whereas giving updates on navy operations throughout the nation.

Buba stated a few of the terrorist commanders killed had been Abu Bilal Minuki, aka Abubakar Mainok, the Head of Is-Al Furqan Province of ISGS and ISWAP, and Haruna Isiya Boderi.

He additional stated that some terrorist commanders who operated in Birnin Gwari forest, Kaduna State, and alongside the Abuja-Kaduna freeway had been killed by troops on February 21.

He stated the feat was achieved via synchronized strikes between the bottom and air forces on terrorist enclaves.
