Governor Mai Mala Buni has ordered the Yobe State Geographic Data Service, YOGIS, to register all land distributors working within the state.
Buni gave the order on Thursday on the official launching ceremony of the brand new digital course of for land administration and administration.
He stated the transfer is to cut back the menace of land-grabbing, racketeering and scams within the state.
“To scale back the menace of land-grabbing, racketeering and scams, I hereby direct that each one land distributors have to be registered for correct document and safety earlier than they’re allowed to function,” he ordered.
Buni, equally, ordered filling stations, accommodations, bakeries, water factories, personal faculties, nook retailers and different business companies within the state, to settle their dues.
“I’m optimistic that, with the brand new course of, YOGIS will present seamless, efficient and environment friendly service to its shoppers,” he stated.
YOGIS was established in November 2020 by Government Order 1. Governor Buni assented to the legislation in October 2021 for efficient land administration and administration within the state.
