Edo Speaker apologizes to Assembly staff over suspension of three lawmakers

The Speaker of the Edo State Home of Meeting, Blessing Agbebaku, on Tuesday tendered an unreserved apology to employees of the Home over the altercations and rowdiness that trailed the suspension of three lawmakers at Monday’s plenary.

DAILY POST remembers that the Speaker had suspended three lawmakers for allegedly plotting to question him and different principal officers.

Agbebaku, who suspended the lawmakers indefinitely, additionally accused them of being influenced by exterior forces to trigger chaos and take away the management of the Home, in addition to making demonic incantations with fetish objects on the premises of the Home.

The suspended lawmakers embody two Peoples Democratic Social gathering (PDP) members and one All Progressives Congress (APC) member.

The lawmakers are Okogbe Donald, PDP, Akoko-Edo II, Addeh Isibor, APC, Esan North-East I and Iyamu Shiny, PDP, Orhionnwon II.

Apologizing for the rowdiness, the Speaker stated, “I want to apologize to the employees of this Meeting for what occurred yesterday throughout plenary. It was not our intention to create rigidity in the home.

“I’m certain that this isn’t the primary time you’re experiencing such.

“We promise that it’s going to not occur once more. This apology is as a result of we maintain you in excessive esteem.”
