UNILORIN expels 6 final year students, 13 others over multiple offences


The College of Ilorin, UNILORIN, Kwara State has expelled and rusticated 19 college students, together with six final-year college students of the establishment, for his or her alleged involvement in varied offences.

This was disclosed in a press assertion by the Director of Company Affairs of the College, Kunle Akogun, on Monday.

The approval of expulsion/rustication of the affected college students by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Wahab Egbewole, SAN, was really helpful by the College students’ Disciplinary Committee at its 220th/221st assembly.

In accordance with the assertion, the affected college students have been penalized for offences starting from misconduct, theft, examination malpractice, hostel bed-space racketeering and extortion, beating a fellow scholar, admission racketeering, extortion and assault.

It additional stated that penalties for the offences dedicated by the scholars included rustication for both one semester or one tutorial session, together with expulsion.

The affected college students have been in varied tutorial ranges reminiscent of 100, 200, 300 and 400 Ranges.
