Staff of Telecommunications union threatens strike


The Personal Telecommunications and Communications Senior Employees Affiliation of Nigeria, PTECSSAN, has threatened to start an indefinite strike on April 4.

The union made this announcement in a press release signed by its Normal Secretary, Okonu Abdullahi, on Tuesday.

He said that the union resolved to go on strike due to the alleged unresolved points between the union and sub-contractors linked with Huawei Applied sciences Nigeria Ltd.

In keeping with him, efforts by the union and the Ministry of Labour and Employment to resolve its issues have been futile as the businesses did not make themselves obtainable for conciliatory conferences.

“It’s within the mild of this that the management of the union directed its members to start an indefinite strike efficient from April 4.

“We implore Nigerians to bear with us throughout the interval of the strike and the discomfort it could deliver to them,” he mentioned.
