Police nab 280 suspects, rescue 158 kidnapped victims in Kaduna

The operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command have arrested at the least 280 suspected criminals and rescued about 158 kidnapped victims from January so far.

The Pressure Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed this on Thursday at a press briefing on the command.

Adejobi stated: “I’m happy to focus on the numerous achievements in our crime-fighting endeavours, with a specific concentrate on the Abuja-Kaduna expressway hall and communities in Kaduna State, spanning from January so far.

“Notably, I want to draw consideration to a strategic initiative carried out alongside the Abuja-Kaduna expressway, which has considerably contributed to our successes.”

Based on him, beneath the directive of the Inspector-Normal of Police, a helicopter has been deployed to function an escort for trains plying the route.

He acknowledged that the helicopter gives aerial help for floor troops from the armed forces, police, and different safety companies.

“It has been deployed alongside the hall as a proactive measure to forestall assaults and act as a primary responder within the occasion of any untoward incidents,” Adejobi stated.
