Osun: Gov Adeleke denies borrowing 10bn for state projects

The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has debunked viral reviews alleging that his administration has up to now borrowed N10 billion from overseas our bodies.

A report earlier emerged that the governor reportedly secured the sum of N10,022,382,348.40 billion in loans from completely different overseas our bodies and organizations in 2023.

Reacting, Governor Adeleke in a press release issued on Monday by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed countered the report, saying he has not borrowed a kobo since his administration kicked off.

Describing the report as faux, the governor acknowledged that he has not at any level since he assumed workplace, “taken any mortgage both by a decision of the State Govt Council or that of the State Home of Meeting”.

He defined that what the report known as loans, had been World Financial institution Improvement financing which, in keeping with him, had been inherited from the earlier administrations.

The governor insisted that every one the tasks executed within the state together with the dualisation of roads, the overhead bridges, the college, well being centre upgrades and a number of other street tasks had been being funded by particular challenge accounts created by the state authorities.
