Jigawa govt subsidizes Hajj fare for intending pilgrims

Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has authorized N1 million as subsidy for every of the state’s intending pilgrims for the 2024 Hajj train.

The Director-Common of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Dutse, the state capital.

The choice was prompted by the current hike in fares by the Nationwide Hajj Fee of Nigeria, NAHCON, attributed to the volatility of the foreign exchange trade price.
