Insecurity: Ebonyi govt donates operational vehicles to police, army

The Ebonyi State Authorities has distributed 10 Hilux to the Nigeria Military and to the Nigeria Police for joint safety operations throughout the state.

Governor Francis Nwifuru, who was represented by his deputy governor, Mrs Patricia Obila, carried out the distribution of the autos on Thursday in Abakaliki.

In response to governor Nwifuru, the goal was to initiatiate speed up operations of joint safety outfits within the state, following the insecurity challenges going through the state.

The joint safety outfit was Christened “(Ijeoma), that means secure journey. Ebonyi State is the one place you sleep with two eyes closed. Over the last safety assembly, I promised to donate mobility to fight insecurity within the state.

“The decision to have a joint safety job drive was to wade off any menace to the peace and safety of the state.

“I urge the safety businesses to supply their finest, safety is everyone’s enterprise, authorities is dedicated to the peace and safety of the state.”

Talking, the Commander, Nkwagu Army Cantonment, Lt. Col. A A Bako, lauded the state authorities for the donation.

“The initiative is well timed, we promise to present all of the providers required from us in guaranteeing peace and safety ”

Additionally Talking, the Ebonyi State Commissioner of Police, Mrs Augustina Ogbodo, applauded the state authorities for the gesture.
